Teresa Munisteri (b. 1984, Houston, Texas) grew up in the southern United States and spent her youth in The Netherlands and Italy. Munisteri currently resides in Houston, Texas where she works as an artist, educator, and installation specialist. She holds an M.F.A. in photography from the University of North Texas (2012) and a B.A. cum laude from Rice University (2006). Landscape, performance and the figure play important roles in her work, which encompasses photography and video. Munisteri's work has been exhibited at RayKo Gallery San Francisco, PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont, Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas, and the LensCapsule in conjunction with FotoFest 2012. Her photographs are included in permanent and private collections in the United States, such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
